Lithium-Ion Battery Emergencies

This training is intended for fire service and Hazmat Team personnel.

This course is designed to provide responders with the understanding of the hazards associated with Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) Batteries. This training provides a comprehensive overview of batteries found in transportation, commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Participants will review several case studies and best practices, in order to make safe and calculated decisions in an emergency response setting.

Participants will receive response SOGs for lithium battery incidents, electric vehicle emergencies, and battery energy storage system emergencies.
