Medina County continues to implement the County Mass Notification System provided by Everbridge, which is one of the leading emergency notification system providers. Recently, we have updated the Everbridge Mass Notification for Citizen Alerts that is able to notify the residents of Medina County (to include city, township, and villages) about community alerts (if your community uses the system in this way) or emergency incidents such as SWAT calls, Hazmat spills and AMBER Alerts. This system is one tool that can be used to reach as many residents as possible in a time of need. Messages can be sent to residents on any communication path desired – cell phone, home phone, email, text messaging, fax, pager, PDA and more – ensuring that residents and County staff receive emergency information and important public service announcements in minutes. Citizens and businesses listed in the County’s white pages directory that have land-line phones have been automatically subscribed to alerts by phone. Citizens and businesses may self-register, provide additional contact information or opt out. This system is free to use and you may change your preferences as often as you like. The updated system will accept your username in all lowercase letters and your current password, however, the first time you log in you will be prompted to change your password.
Please note that Everbridge will not be used for weather warnings. If you would like to be up-to-date regarding weather alerts please consider purchasing a NOAA weather radio with battery
back-up for your home or business. The most accurate weather forecasting comes from the Subject Matter Expert Meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Cleveland.
If severe weather arises in your community please rely on your local television news channels and your NOAA weather radio for the most accurate information.
If you are unable to sign up due to a disability please contact an elected official within your jurisdiction who can assist you or call the Medina County Emergency Management Agency at
